Context
Intercorp is Peru's biggest business conglomerate, accounting for over 4% of the country's GDP and employing more than 85,000 people in 35 companies.
The Challenge
In 2019, I was asked to lead the process to craft Intercorp's purpose and identify effective methods to communicate it to all its employees. The challenge relied mainly on humanising a an impersonal corporation.
About The Outcome
The newly crafted purpose for Intercorp accomplished to mobilise its companies under one single goal: make Peru the best place to raise a family in Latin America. To support this statement, my team crafted a two minute documentary video and a new website.
As a result, this purpose statement is now being used regularly in strategic decision making processes and is providing thousands of employees with a common social motivation beyond making profit.
